La Mesa Taco Shop Robbed At Gunpoint, Police Searching for Suspects

The gunman had a black semi-automatic handgun and wore eyeglasses, police said, and all three suspects wore black bandanas over their faces.

La Mesa police searched Thursday for a gunman and two unarmed accomplices who robbed a taco shop in La Mesa.

The robbery at Los Piňos Taco Shop at 5660 Lake Murray Blvd. was reported at 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, according to La Mesa police.

The men entered the business, demanded cash, then ran away with the loot, police said in a statement.

Police described the suspects as black males in their late teens or early 20s, around 5 feet 10 and 165 pounds. The gunman had a black semi- automatic handgun and wore eyeglasses, police said, and all three suspects wore black bandanas over their faces.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
