Retired Airline Exec, Realtor, Now Flying with Keller Williams

Keller Williams Realty San Diego East Foothills in El Cajon, one of the largest residential real estate brokerages in San Diego County with more than 320 agents, has announced that El Cajon resident Jim Sheehan has joined the firm as a real estate sales agent.

Sheehan, who has worked in real estate sales since 1997, is a retired commercial airline industry executive with a 39-year career, including 33 years with United Airlines and six years with Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA). He worked with the airlines in various roles, including as Vice President of System Operations Control with United Airlines and as Senior Vice President of Airline Operations with PSA. He retired in 1996 while working with United in Honolulu.

Following his retirement from the airline industry, Sheehan spent 10 years in real estate affiliated with another brokerage previously operated by Joe Garzanelli, who now operates Keller Williams Realty San Diego East Foothills. “It’s terrific to return for the opportunity to work again with Joe,” said Sheehan, who has owned a home in El Cajon since 1981. “I’m impressed with the ongoing training and many resources that Keller Williams offers to agents, plus the company’s high ethical standards.”

Sheehan, a native of Chicago, attended Western Michigan University on an athletic scholarship (cross country and track and field) and graduated in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He later earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

He served on active duty and in the reserves as a commissioned officer in the field artillery a combined total of 12 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and Army.

Jim and wife Marilyn have a combined large family residing in San Diego, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Antonio, Tex., Houston, Tex., Madison, Wis., and Paris, France.
