Tips Sought After Man Found Unresponsive On La Mesa Street
Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating a truck that was seen driving on a street where a man was found seriously injured.
LA MESA, CA — Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating a vehicle that was seen driving on a La Mesa street where a man was found seriously injured and unresponsive last month.
Police responded to a call of a man lying on the eastern edge of the roadway on Bancroft Drive, just south of Golondrina Drive, around 9:10 p.m. Feb. 27, according to the La Mesa Police Department.
Officers found Jok Joseph Jok unresponsive with injuries to his head and shoulder, police said. He later died.

"The manner and means of his death is currently under investigation," police said in a news release.
Video surveillance showed vehicles in the area around the time of the incident. Police have identified a possible vehicle of interest. The vehicle was described as a white 2009-2014 Ford F150. The truck has an extended cab with a silver metal tool box and is possibly missing a front bumper.

Anyone with information about the location of the vehicle or the circumstances leading up to the incident is asked to call the La Mesa Police Department at 619-667-7532 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
