
Founder of tutorial company Interact and one-time Grossmont High School teacher Paul DeKock passed away Nov. 11 in El Cajon.Â
He was 83.
DeKock was born in Pella, Iowa and relocated to San Diego's East County in the 1950s. DeKock spent 31 years as a teacher at Grossmont High School and El Capitan High School, according to a Funeraia de Angel Humphrey obituary.

He also helped co-found the company Interact, which teaches people how to do various tasks with tutorials.
A celebration of life is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at San Carlos United Methodist Church at 6554 Cowles Mountain Blvd. in San Diego.

In lieu of flowers DeKock's family has requested that donations be made to Habitat for Humanity.
