Ziko is the owner of A Man's Choice barbershop at 3533 Plaza Way in Lafayette. I didn't catch his last name, and Ziko was not interested in going on camera.
"Everybody already know who I am," he said in his gently Russian accent.
He is a native of Odessa, the third largest city in Ukraine, that also produced Facebook founder Mark Zukerberg's grandparents and Google co-founder Serge Brin's parents, Ziko noted with pride.
He has operated his shop for nearly 20 years, and cuts hair old-school, with scissors, a razor, and a spray bottle. No shampoo, but if you arrange for extra time, you can get a shave.
