Bicyclist Critically Injured In Lamorinda Crash

LAMORINDA, CA — A bicyclist is hospitalized with critical injuries after colliding with a vehicle at the Pleasant Hill Road/Olympic roundabout, according to Lafayette Police.

The names of the people involved have not been made public.

"A nurse and a doctor from John Muir Medical Center and a firefighter from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District, who happened to pass by, immediately began to render aid to the bicyclist who was injured," police said in a social media post.

Detours were in place around the crash scene for about eight hours, but Pleasant Hill Road, Olympic and Reliez Station have all reopened.
