Caldecott Tunnel Fire: Subaru Forester Goes Up In Flames

LAMORINDA, CA — If Bore One of the Caldecott Tunnel looks a bit scorched inside the next time you pass through, here's the reason.

A Subaru Forester caught fire just after 10:30 Sunday morning. According tot he CHP, the vehicle quit running and the driver got out before it caught fire.

No injuries were reported.

Cal Trans also responded to the scene to make sure the tunnel wasn't damaged. raffic was flowing again within 45 minutes of the fire.
