Crime In Orinda: Burglary, Car Theft, and Concentrated Cannabis

This week (July 23-29) there was one residential burglary on Francisco Court, one stolen car on Bryant Way, and two commercial thefts on the 60 block of Moraga Way.

Police arrested two people for driving under the influence, and one for possession of concentrated cannabis. 

Police in Orinda met with police in Lafayette and Moraga to coordinate investigations. Three felony cases and four misdemeanors were sent to the DA for charges. Two burglary suspects were interviewed, and an identity theft ring involving Nordstrom stores continues to be investigated.  

Orinda police also headed up the investigation of the missing elderly women who was ultimately found to be the victim of a fatal solo car accident.

Finally, a youth leadership group took a tour of the police department.
