3 Dead In Highway 24 Crash Early Saturday

All lanes have reopened after an earlier sig-alert.

LAMORINDA, CA —Three people are now reported dead in a crash on westbound Highway 24 in Orinda early Saturday.

A red 2009 Nissan Versa was found in the bushes off the right side of the road near the Camino Pablo off ramp around 3:10 a.m. The coroner was called right away. All three people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Multiple lanes were closed as emergency crews removed the bodies and the vehicle. All lanes reopened by 6:30.

The names of the victims have not been released.

One passenger was from Oakland, and the other passenger was from Hayward. The driver's residence has not been released, according to Bay City News.
