Explosions Shatter Boston Marathon Finish Line

Two explosions shattered the celebrations at the crowded finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday, with authorities carrying off injured spectators and competitors while the stragglers in the race were rerouted away from the finish, according to the Huffington Post.

At 1:05 p.m. Pacific Time, there were two confirmed deaths, Boston police told CBS News. Authorities believe the explosions were caused by bombs, CBS News reported. Windows were blown out of office buildings in the area.
