Update: More Road Closures in Lamorinda; PG&E Crews Working on Outages

The area has been plagued by downed trees, mudslides and power outages all day Sunday.

LAMORINDA, CA — A mudslide on Happy Valley Road "between Orinda View Lane and Dalewood" has the orad down to one lane, according to Orinda Police. Cleanup will not begin until 8 a.m. Monday. Plan accordingly for the morning commute.

Lafayette Police report that Reliez Valley Road is closed between Reliez Valley Court and Withers Road.

A large tree has fallen and has blocked the road and downed power lines. According to PG&E, 299 customers are currently without power. The power went out at 8:26 Sunday morning. Repairs are not expected to be finished until 2 a.m. Monday.

Public works is also at the scene.

In addition, Moraga Police Department reports that St. Andrews Drive is closed between Moraga Way and Country Club Drive due to a downed tree. Use alternate routes.

Multiple power outages in Moraga and Orinda at one point left 2,000 customers without electricity. The power has slowly been coming back on. The remaining outages should be repaired by 10 p.m., according to PG&E.

Orinda Police report that Overhill Road is closed to through traffic near Hillcrest Road because of a tree into power lines. Avoid the area.
