You've opened the presents, stuffed yourself until you can't move —​​ now what? That's when you turn to Google!

CALIFORNIA — Christmas morning with a boisterous family can be bedlam. The kids are excited by what Santa brought them and, after weeks of shaking presents and feeling them for clues about their contents, finally get to rip into gifts from family and friends.

We eat breakfast or brunch, cookies and snacks, a huge holiday meal, and, then what?

Here in California, the "What should we do next?" is answered most often with let's watch a Christmas movie, or see what's on Netflix. According to SatelliteInternet.com, the most Googled search term in California on Christmas last year was "Netflix."

We're not unique. Netflix was the most Googled term in 12 states including Oregon, Kansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Food was also a big deal. People in Nevada, Texas and Oklahoma were looking for fast food joints that were open. A few Eastern states wanted egg nog recipes with alcohol, folks in Maine needed to know how long to roast a chicken, and in South Dakota people were yearning for a Starbucks run.

If you're wondering how the list was created, the team at SatelliteInternet.com used Google Trends to review top searches on Christmas 2018 and analyzed the queries state by state to produce a list of each state’s most-Googled Christmas-related term, from Dec. 24 through the 26th, 2018.
