Lafayette Council Meets Tonight (Monday), Orinda Planning Commission Tuesday, Moraga Town Council Wednesday

The City Council meetings tonight (July 8) at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd. Agenda items include:

A discussion of various options the council has to appoint present and new commissioners;

Proposed amendments to the city’s smoking ordinance;

Consideration of ABAG’s change in the Bay Plan from designating Lafayette a Transit Town Center to a Transit Neighborhood, which reduces the number and size of permitted residential development.

Consideration of changing the present restriction of park fees for use only on city-owned property to use additionally on property not owned by the city.

The Creeks Committee meets tonight, July 8, at 7 p.m. at Conference Room 265, Lafayette City Offices, 3675 Mt. Diablo Blvd. Agenda items include a discussion of the Downtown Preservation and Restoration project.

The Emergency Preparedness Commission meets Wednesday, July 10, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room 265, Lafayette City Offices, 3675 Mt. Diablo Blvd.

The Park, Trails and Recreation Commission meets Wednesday, July 10 at 7 p.m. in the Lafayette Community Center, 500 St. Mary’s Road.

Orinda

The Planning Commission meets Tuesday, July 9 at 7 p.m. in the Library Auditorium, 26 Orinda Way. Agenda items include consideration of a modification to a Sprint wireless cell tower at 193 Crestview Dr. and a public hearing to a 3,000 addition to a home on Lombardy Lane.

Parks and Recreation Commission meets Tuesday, July 10 at 7 p.m. in the Community Center, 28 Orinda Way. Agenda items include discussion regarding future park and community needs.

Moraga:

Design Review Board meets Monday, July 8 at 7 p.m. in the Moraga Library Meeting Room, 1500 St. Mary’s Road.
