California Man On Honeymoon Killed In Barcelona Terror Attack

He is the only American confirmed to have died in the carnage.

LAFAYETTE, CA — The lone American confirmed killed in Thursday's terror attack in Barcelona was Lafayette resident Jared Tucker, who was in Europe with his wife Heidi Nunes.

The couple were on a romantic vacation when Tucker excused himself to go to the bathroom. That's when a car drove six blocks on the sidewalk, killing at least 13 people and injuring another 120. The terror group ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.

Nunes told NBC News that she was pushed into a souvenir kiosk and remained safely inside as people ran in terror outside. When she emerged, she couldn't find her husband. She spent a dozen desperate hours looking for him. She has now tentatively identified his body.
