
LAMORINDA, CA — A Lafayette man died Monday when he was hit in a crosswalk while crossing Moraga Boulevard. He was identified today as 60-year-old Sui Yuen.
The collision occurred at about 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Moraga Boulevard and Moraga Road, city spokeswoman Tracy Robinson said. Yuen was about halfway across Moraga Boulevard when a Ford F-150 making a left turn onto Moraga Road hit him.
Robinson said there is no indication the driver ran a red light.

Yuen was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek where he died, Robinson said.
No one else was injured.

While the crash was at Moraga Boulevard and Moraga Road, drivers were prevented from turning onto Moraga Road at Mt Diablo to keep traffic away from the crash scene.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Any witnesses to the collision or anyone with information about it is asked to call Lafayette police at (925) 283-3680.
