Man Suffers Heart Attack While Driving on Highway 24
He crashed his vehicle last week and died at a hospital a short time later.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A Walnut Creek man died last week after his vehicle crashed in Oakland. However, the Alameda County coroner's bureau announced on Tuesday that Thomas Harezlak, 68, suffered a medical emergency as he was driving.
Harezlak died at a hospital a short time later. His official cause of death is cardiovascular disease.
Last Friday Harezlak was driving a company-owned Dodge Caravan for work shortly before 9 a.m. He was involved in a minor crash on eastbound state Highway 24 near state Highway 13.

California Highway Patrol officers found him unresponsive in the driver's seat and he was taken to a hospital, CHP officials said.
He was pronounced dead at 10:03 a.m.
