Moraga: Give Triathletes A Brake Saturday
Drive cautiously in Moraga and Canyon. The Moraga Triathlon starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at pool adjacent to Campolindo High.
The seventh annual Moraga Triathlon starts with a splash — at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Soda Aquatic Center at Campolindo High, Moraga.
Four hundred meters in the pool are followed by a 22-kilometer bike ride through a redwood forest culminating in a 5-K run around the Campolindo neighborhood before finishing with a lap around the Cougars' track and a finish in front of the grandstand.
There will be a small army of volunteers out around Moraga neighborhoods. If you are interested in volunteering, please email tri@moraga.ca.us.

Cyclists and runners will be out on the streets of Moraga and Canyon, Moraga Police Chief Robert Priebe said, so "drive with patience and caution."
No roads will be closed, Priebe said, but traffic will be affected and controlled by police personnel and volunteers. Cyclists will use Camino Pablo, Moraga, Canyon and Pinehurst roads.
