Pet Wash Fund-Raiser Coming to Lafayette
Pet Food Express is site for May 4 event; volunteers include Baker Sharp of Orinda and his German shepherd Truman.
Baker Sharp, a seventh-grader at Orinda Intermediate School, is helping with an Operation Paws Rescue fund-raiser to help animals get adopted.
The main fund-raiser is a pet wash at from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4. If you can't make it on May 4, you can email Baker at bakeroperationpaws@yahoo.com and buy $15 tokens for a pet wash.
Baker is pictured here with his dog Truman — "as in Truman Capote because he has a few odd habits," Baker writes in an email. The Sharps got him from the Golden State German Shepherd Rescue program in Lafayette.

"I take him on walks around the neighborhood, and people always stop me and tell me what a beautiful dog he is," Baker said.
