
The Gold Coast Chamber Players launch a new project, Pop Up Bach, classical music experiences in unexpected locations. Between May 14 and 17, musicians will be popping up throughout Lamorinda to surprise and delight the community. This venture is designed to create awareness about classical music, to engage younger listeners, and to highlight GCCP’s commitment to education by featuring exceptional music students.
As a Grand Finale to Lafayette’s premier restaurant walk, Taste of Lafayette, on Tuesday May 14, 2019, the Gold Coast Chamber Players will present the Little Stars Trio, a dazzling three-some of sibling prodigies. This 15-minute concert takes place at 7:30PM at the former Wells Fargo Bank turned Pop Up Art Gallery called JPG@thebank, located at the corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd and Moraga Road. You must have a ticket to Taste of Lafayette to attend the concert. All other events are free and open to the public.
Orinda resident, flutist Amy Likar will pop up at Diablo Foods in Lafayette on Wednesday, May 15 between 12:30-1:15PM. That night, at 8:15PM, Lafayette resident, violist Pamela Freund-Striplen pops up at the end of yoga class at Moraga’s 24 Hour Fitness. Violist Rachel Stokol pops up at Orchard Nursery in Lafayette on Thursday, May 16 at 4PM and at 5PM moves to Clocks ETC to join Pamela Freund-Striplen in some viola duets. The final event on Friday, May 17 from 4:30-5:30PM, features violinist Chili Ekman in the parking lot outside the Roundup Saloon.
