Rain Forecast This Weekend For The East Bay: NWS

EAST BAY — It’s been a long time since the East Bay had measurable rainfall, but the National Weather Service forecast calls for light rain between Friday and Sunday.

Warm, summer-like temperatures on Thursday will give way to sharply lower temperatures on Friday — as much as 20 degrees cooler in spots, accompanied by wind.

The cold front bringing the temperature change will also contain rain. It will be light — just a total of a tenth to a quarter of an inch in most locations.

The National Weather Service has not issued any advisories or warnings with this storm.

The cooler air is expected to stick around all next week. So if you like warm weather, enjoy Thursday — this is the last you’ll see of this weather pattern for the foreseeable future.
