Rain, Snow May Affect Bay Area Holiday Travel
Thousands of northern California residents are about to hit the road or head to the airport. Here's when rain is most likely: NWS.
CALIFORNIA — If you're heading over the river and through the woods to visit family this holiday, or perhaps just going to the mountains to play in the snow, the National Weather Service is predicting the best chance of rain from Saturday into Sunday.
However, there's a chance of rain and snow showers, depending on elevation, for much of the next five days.
Temperatures will also be quite cold, with highs lingering in the 50s to mid 60s.

There will also be patchy fog around the Bay Area. In some locations Friday morning, visibility was just a quarter-mile. You are likely used to your own micro-climate, but if you are traveling, allow extra time for safety.
