Sunday Singalong: School's Out
A summertime anthem for your Sunday Singalong pleasure.

Ah, the sweet sassy sounds of rock 'n roll. Few said it better when it comes to adolescent in-your-faceness than Alice Cooper, who in 1972 scared the wits out of parents, who looked at this guy named Alice and freaked out.Â
But the kids knew--he was a freak, like they were. Like them, he didn't fit in anywhere, but unlike them, he had a microphone and a stage, and he spoke for legions of misfits (or kids who just felt like misfits) with loud, obnoxious music that spoke to the visceral in all of us.Â
These days, after Marilyn Manson and punk and hip-hop, this sounds pretty tame. But the shameless appeal to teenage rebellion and the delights of summer just beginning still makes for a pretty good celebration of the end of the school year.Â
So, if you graduated this year, congratulations. If you didn't, at least you have the summer to prepare for another round of school.Â
