The Last CineArts Dome Odyssey
A Stanley Kubrick classic was the last movie shown at the CineArts dome in Pleasant Hill. The old theatre is scheduled for demolition, making way for a Dick's Sporting Goods.
Patch columnist Emily Henry made her first sojourn to the CineArts dome on its last night, and a showing of Stanley Kubrick's 2001 — A Space Odyssey.
Emily writes, "The 'dome' itself looks like one of Kubrick's space ships, floating gracefully above the earth — an awe-inspiring and unique setting to watch the most epic science fiction movie of all time."
