Bake A Pie For Charity
Learn how to make an organic apple pie Saturday at the Marin Country Mart Farmers Market in Larkspur, then donate it to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.

Here are some of the highlights happening around the Larkspur and Corte Madera Twin Cities area Nov. 16-18:
Here's the chance to do something fun — and tasty — for charity. The Marin Country Mart Farmers Market and trained pastry chef Carmen Sherbondy will give everyone the chance to make an organic apple pie for the St. Vincent De Paul Society of Marin County. Your donated pie will be baked on Thanksgiving Day and served in their free dining room.
When you make a pie for charity, you also have the option to purchase a ticket to make a second pie to take home.
Purchase advance tickets in advance through brown paper tickets. To make your pies, come to the big, heated tent at the Farmers' Market in Larkspur on Saturday, Nov. 17, anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Sherbondy will walk you through the assembly of making your organic apple pie. This process is streamlined with many of the pie making steps being prepared in advance. Expect making one pie to take approximately 20 minutes of your time.
