Marin County Health and Human Services' epidemiology and communicable disease teams have been working to collect and provide additional information about confirmed COVID-19 cases. As a result, the Marin HHS data website has new information about deaths, hospitalizations by age, and confirmed cases by age or gender.

The county's 10 coronavirus-related deaths have all involved residents 65 or older, the data show.

On Friday, one person in the 19-34 age group was hospitalized; three people in the 35-49 age group were hospitalized; nine patients in the 50-64 age group were hospitalized; and 15 patients in the 65 and older age group were hospitalized.

Hospital visits and respiratory illness activity are monitored by the HHS surveillance team. Information gleaned from the data provides a situational awareness of current resource needs in the community, which the county says helps advance policies to limit community spread and support health care partners' capacity to respond.
