Corte Mader Notice Of Construction & Parking Restrictions

Ghilotti Bros., Inc. will be performing localized “slurry seal” improvements to address some minor irregularities in the asphalt that was installed in Fall of 2019. The map below shows the areas and dates this “slurry seal” will be installed, which includes sections of Montecito Drive, Sausalito Street, Eastman Avenue, Buena Vista Avenue, and Oakdale Avenue. The work will be spread over two days (Thursday, September 17th & Friday, September 18th) to minimize inconveniences to the neighborhood, to the extent feasible. Work will occur during daytime hours between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

It is very important to be aware that on the 17th and 18th of September 2020 these streets will be closed for the entire day and that driving on the “slurry seal” will not be allowed to prevent damage to the new roadway surface along with private vehicles and driveway.

They will try to minimize your inconvenience; however, parking and driveway entrances where applicable will be restricted during some of these stages. “NO PARKING TOW AWAY” signs will be posted 72 hours before the actual days of work in the areas where parking must be prohibited. Any vehicle parked in a “No Parking” zone will be towed at the owner’s expense. When work has been completed in each area, the parking prohibition will end, and all signs will be removed. As one can anticipate during a project of this nature, mechanical malfunctions and unforeseen weather conditions may affect construction schedules. If this occurs, it may be necessary to amend the dates for work on your street.

Flaggers and traffic control signs will be used to help direct traffic at all times. Should you plan to use your vehicle during construction periods when on-street parking has been prohibited, please make arrangements to park your vehicles on an adjacent street where street parking is not restricted. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated at all times.
