Marin County Among Strongest Labor Markets In State

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Four Bay Area counties, including Marin, have the strongest labor markets in the state, according to data released Friday by the California Employment Development Department.

San Mateo County has the strongest market followed by San Francisco, Marin and Santa Clara counties, according to unemployment data.

The unemployment rate in San Mateo County was just 2.4 percent in March. Unemployment in San Francisco last month was just 2.6 percent and in Marin and Santa Clara counties unemployment was just 2.7 and 2.9 percent.

In Solano County, the unemployment rate was the highest of any county in the region at 4.6 percent.
