On Saturday, Thank a Cop
Sept. 15 is designated as National Tell A Police Officer "Thank You" Day.

If you see a cop on Saturday, give him or her a round of applause.
It's National Tell A Police Officer "Thank You" Day.

Yet they often get a bad rap, according to the Whole Truth Project, an organization with a mission to support law enforcement officers by promoting a pro-police message.

So, if an officer is driving by, give a thumbs-up, a wave or some golf claps. If you're passing by one on the street, say something nice or shake the officer's hand. We dare you.
