Paradise Foods Recognized for Philanthropic Efforts
Paradise Foods annually contributes $100,000 to SchoolsRule-Marin.

Paradise Foods, a Marin County family-owned market, received the 2014 Citizenship Award sponsored by the San Francisco Business Times and MassMutual San Francisco. The award was presented to Paradise Foods President & CEO David Gilmour for his company’s philanthropic work in support of SchoolsRule-Marin (SRM), a countywide effort to raise money for every public school student in Marin County.
Paradise Foods annually contributes $100,000 to SRM which requires donations to be used toward the arts, technology and literacy in Marin schools. Gilmour is a key partner of SRM and serves as a model for other local businesses to become involved in philanthropic efforts to make a social impact.
“I am honored to have Paradise Foods serve as a beacon of hope for the children of Marin County – knowing that they will all benefit from the enriched programs and technology offered at their schools thanks to SchoolsRule donations,” says Marin County Superintendent of Schools Mary Jane Burke. “I am proud to stand with David Gilmour on behalf of our young future leaders, to provide them with the best education possible.”
