The Patch's 2017 Oscar Program reporting presented a biased viewpoint.

It should have also reported that Jimmy Kimmel made a serious plea.

The Patch's reporting of the political slams that were made during the 2017 Oscar Awards program was not balanced and should have noted the sincere observation that was made as well. By reporting only the sarcastic political jokes, The Patch presented a biased and exaggerated view of the event. The article only pointed to those critical remarks that were made about the current administration, which were scattered through the program. The article did not report Jimmy Kimmel's very serious and heartfelt comment at the end of his monologue where he pointed out that the country is divided. He asked for every person to reach out to one person who has an opposing viewpoint and create a dialogue. By doing so, we might come together to make America strong again. The audience reacted by clapping in approval.

In the name of unbiased journalism and to present an accurate tone of the event, shouldn't this remark have been included in this article as well?

It is my opinion, that this incomplete and/or slanted reporting is what is contributing to the divisiveness of our Country today.
