California's Storied Largest Home Could Be Yours For $200 Million

WOW House: 'The Manor' is California's largest private home. Property owners have included Bing Crosby, Aaron Spelling, and a 22-year-old.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Just a few houses down from the Playboy Mansion sits The Manor. At 56,500 square feet, there is only one home in California larger: Hearst Castle, which is owned by the state park system.

According to Realtor.com, 22-year-old Formula 1 heiress Petra Stunt bought the 127-room home in 2011 and promptly commissioned a massive redesign, getting rid of the some of the more eclectic and bizarre (namely the doll room and a closet that took up an entire floor) features of the home's original owners, Aaron and Candy Spelling.

The Spellings built the home in 1998, a two-year process that profoundly irritated the neighbors. Spelling, famous for his TV hits “The Love Boat,” “Fantasy Island,” “Dynasty,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “7th Heaven,” and “Charmed,” died in 2006. His wife sold the home to Petra for $85 million in cash.
