Los Alamitos-based Pathways To Independence hosts its 24th annual fundraiser, socially distant, with a little help from a local artist.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Huntington Beach recording artist Brett Young headlines a virtual concert for a special cause this week.

Brett Young, 2018 Country Music Awards vocalist of the year, is no stranger to Orange County.

"He grew up in Huntington Beach and graciously agreed to perform some of his fan favorites," a spokesperson for the event says.

The benefit concert serves to fund Pathways, who assists a largely un-served segment of the population.

Clients are young women who:

  • Are poor by state/federal standards.
  • Come from a background of abuse, homelessness, or foster care.
  • Have a serious desire to complete their college education and become self-sufficient.
  • Lack an emotional and financial support system.
