Heavy Fog Blankets Southern California

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday.

Heavy fog will affect all coastal areas, reducing visibilities to less than one-quarter mile, impacting a busy Friday commute. The fog may cause flight delays at local airports.

Visibilities should improve by late Saturday morning, forecasters said.

Fog makes road surfaces slick, so drivers are advised to slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of room in front of them.
