Fortune Cookies Leaving Los Alamitos, Moving To Shops At Rossmoor
The Chinese eatery will relocate from its current site at Los Alamitos Boulevard to a new location at The Shops at Rossmoor in Seal Beach.
ROSSMOOR, CA — Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro, an Orange County-based restaurant that boasts such "heart-healthy, portion-controlled" entrees as sushi, soups, Chop Suey and Lo Mein, is set to close its Los Alamitos locale, at 11151 Los Alamitos Blvd., in the fall of 2019, relocating to The Shops at Rossmoor in Seal Beach.
“We’re moving our Los Alamitos location to The Shops at Rossmoor to share our unique twist on traditional Chinese favorites with an even broader audience,” said Jimmy Chen, owner of Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro.
Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro's new site, measuring 3,299 square feet, will open in coming months, situated next to Jos. A. Bank at The Shops at Rossmoor, officials said, but no specific opening dates were released.

The Shops at Rossmoor management is welcoming the eatery, saying it will add to the center's restaurant line-up.
“With its authentic Chinese food, Fortune Cookies brings a taste of something unique and worldly to Seal Beach, and we believe our shoppers will truly enjoy its health-conscious meals and family-friendly atmosphere," said Janice Scott, general manager of the Rossmoor complex.

Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro, with additional Orange County locations in Fountain Valley and Orange, is known for its low-fat menu, with options for gluten-free, low cholesterol or blood sugar- and blood pressure-friendly entrées.
Fortune Cookies' original chef spent years developing new ways to improve Chinese cuisine, making the restaurant's offerings authentic representations of Chinese cooking, as well as smart alternatives for health-conscious diners, company officials said.

The Shops at Rossmoor, a 373,000-square-foot outdoor, shopping center, is located at 12201 Seal Beach Blvd., off the I-405 freeway between Lampson and Katella.
