John Stamos Asked, Caitlyn Said Yes...At Disneyland

John Stamos proposed to Caitlyn McHugh in the most adorable Disneyland-themed fashion.

CYPRESS, CA — They both share a love of all things Disney, and naturally the happiest place on earth was the ideal location for John Stamos to ask girlfriend, model Caitlyn McHugh, to be his bride.

"I asked, she said yes, and we lived happily ever after," Stamos said over Instagram to thousands of heartbroken fans.

While many Disneyland romantics get engaged at Snow White's Wishing Well or with the backdrop of Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Stamos maneuvered McHugh into the Disney Animation Studio, where a larger-than-life montage of romantic scenes played for their pleasure. The suggestion to pop the question came from Sebastian, Ariel's music teacher and romantic adviser, who told Stamos to "Ask the Girl!" at the end of the reel.

Watch: Wedding bells for Uncle Jessie!

"I kissed the boy and said...yes!" McHugh said of the much-publicized engagement. "That's what you do when the sweetest, most romantic Prince Charming treats you like a princess and asks you to be his bride."

And you could hear both the dreamy sighs and the sound of hearts breaking across the Twitterverse as thousands chimed in with congratulations.

For the pre-marry-me film, Stamos wrangled Paul Briggs, a Disney Animation Director, to prepare the collection of clips from Disney's greatest love moments. Briggs has been the Head of Story for Disney's Art Department for such films as "Big Hero 6" and "Frozen," and is no stranger to story telling or animation.

"I animated a small scene at the end," Briggs said over Twitter of the scene where Crab held up a sign asking Stamos to "go on and ask the girl!"

After a year of dating and an often private social media relationship, the pair celebrated their love with the world via social media, thanking all who helped them and believed in them along the way.

Stamos Tweeted that Briggs helped him pull off "pure romance" with the well-received proposal message. However, if Stamos holds to his tongue-in-cheek claim that if the happy couple has a child they might name her "Paul Briggs Stamos."

Perhaps there will be an animated birth announcement in the future, and Briggs said that he was up to the task when the time comes.

Stamos, born in Cypress, has had a long-running heartthrob career on both the small and big screen. He was named one of People Magazine's Most Beautiful People in the World in 1990. A longtime lover of all things Disney, he is an avid collector of Disney memorabilia, according to Yahoo Superfan reports.

Stamos outbid Michael Jackson, and purchased all 10 letters of the retired Disneyland entrance sign via an eBay auction for over $30,000. The "D" sits in his backyard, and can be seen by tour buses that cruise by the home that overlooks Mulholland Drive. He also has a Dumbo from the original Disneyland Dumbo ride hanging in his front yard, a Seven Dwarfs cart bearing the name of "Grumpy" and a devil from the end of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

With his new fiance a DisneyBound model and frequent poster of vintage Disney-inspired clothes on her Instagram pages, it looks like this just might be a match made in heaven.

Disney fangirls and wanna-be princesses can't wait to see if a Disney Fairy-Tale Wedding is in this couple's happily-ever-after future.
