Lake Forest Mourns Tragic Death Of Josh Bowers

Lake Forest mourns the sudden loss of Josh Bowers, who lost his life in a tragic collision on Oso Parkway earlier in January.

LAKE FOREST, CA — Family and friends of Lake Forest resident Josh Bowers mourned his sudden passing this month. On January 9, Bowers, 21, was killed in a collision on the Oso Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita during the torrential rain storm. He leaves behind his fiance, siblings, grandparents and other family members.

Funeral services were held Jan. 21 at TerraNova Church in Lake Forest. Joshua Bowers is survived by his father Mother Cheryl Bowers, Fiancee Sloan Schwartz, Siblings Kevin, Tyler and Lauren, two sisters-in-law Samantha and Melissa, as well as three nephews: Bodhi, Shange and Tanner and Mark Bowers, Step mother Pamela Bowers, he is also survived by grandparents and many other family members.

Sister in Law Samantha Bowers shared a GoFundMe in support of Josh.

"On Jan. 9, the world lost one of its biggest hearts. Josh could brighten the darkest room and make the saddest person smile. He helped many, loved much and will be in our hearts forever," she wrote. "Josh, I know you are roaring in heaven with Jesus and looking down on us! Not a day will go by in which you are not missed or in our hearts. 21 years was way too short, know how much you are loved."
