Man Dies Days After Crash In Huntington Beach
The Huntington Beach resident careened wildly out of control and slammed into a wall and power pole on Yorktown Avenue.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A 26-year-old Huntington Beach man whose pickup truck careened out of control, slamming into wall and power pole, died from his injuries over the weekend.
Zachary John Gillespie died Saturday, police reported. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said.
Gillespie was behind the wheel of his 2006 Nissan Titan pickup, driving east on Yorktown Avenue from Magnolia Street at the time of the crash.

For unknown reasons, at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, the truck veered into the westbound lanes and then back into the eastbound lanes, then slammed into a block wall and utility pole, police said.
