Missing Garden Grove Man Found After Lengthy Silver Alert
A 74-year-old man missing for several weeks was at last found and is back, officials say.
GARDEN GROVE, CA — A 74-year-old man who suffers from an undisclosed medical condition and last seen in Garden Grove earlier this month has been found, authorities announced Thursday.
Felipe Ortiz was last seen about 9 a.m. on April 7 in the area of Westminster Avenue and Dawson Street. The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert for him on behalf of the Garden Grove Police Department.
The Garden Grove Police Department announced Thursday afternoon that Ortiz had been found, however, no further details were released.

The Silver Alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals, according to the CHP.
