Multi-Car Collision Stalls 405, 22 Traffic To Seal Beach Blvd.

A multi-car crash blocked lanes Tuesday morning, creating traffic mayhem from the 405 northbound through Westminster to the 22 westbound.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Traffic was at a standstill Tuesday morning after multiple cars collided with one another in the high occupancy vehicle lanes on the 405 to the 22 connectors at Seal Beach Boulevard, California Highway Patrol reported.

A SIGAlert was called into effect from 10:30 to 11 a.m. while tow trucks removed disabled vehicles that were blocking lanes.

At 10 a.m., a white Lexus NX300 collided with a gray Volkswagen sedan, and three to four other vehicles, CHP reported. Lanes were blocked for at least an hour while tow trucks removed disabled vehicles, and CalTrans cleaned up the scene. Traffic remained heavy through the area from North of McFadden Avenue to the westbound 22, according to officials.

It was not known if anyone was injured in the collision, as of this report.

The SIGAlert was canceled at 11 a.m., CHP said.
