SEAL BEACH, CA — Michelle Steel, Orange County Supervisor of District 2, has abdicated her seat in exchange for a seat in the United States Congress, 48th District. Now, a special election will decide who will take her place on the dais.

Four hopefuls have entered the field, including Costa Mesa mayor Katrina Foley; former supervisor and state representative John Moorlach; Fountain Valley Mayor Michael Vo; and Corona Del Mar attorney Janet Rappaport.

All have filled out candidacy papers and are applying for the rights to be on the ballot, according to the Orange County Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley's office.
