Orange County Property Taxes Are Due! Are You Caught Up?
The deadline to pay 2015 property taxes in Orange County is midnight. Here's how to pay online to avoid penalties.

Property taxes in Orange County are due by Monday at midnight.
Anyone who misses the deadline to pay online by midnight or by postmarked mail April 11 will have to pay a 10 percent late penalty and $23 fee.
Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector Shari Freidenrich is encouraging residents to get paid up online.

“Last year, we received over 54% of property tax payments electronically. Taxpayer payments online by eCheck are the fastest growing payment method and property tax payments by eCheck have doubled in the last several years” said Freidenrich. “This secure online payment option using your bank account does not charge a service fee, provides a payment receipt, and provides same day credit to your account on the day you make the payment online.”
To find your bill online and pay, go to ocgov.com/octaxbill. Taxpayers can sign up for due date reminders by registering their e-mail with the Treasurer at ocgov.com/taxreminder.

As of last week, 13% more Orange County taxpayers had already paid their taxes compared to the same time last year. That’s $663 million ahead of the same time last year, according to the treasurer.
