SIGALERT: Motorcycle Fatality On 605 Freeway
A motorcycle was downed in lanes, one person has died as a result of the crash. BREAKING.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — A SIGALERT is expected until 8 a.m. on Northbound 605 Freeway at the Katella Road on-ramp, Friday after a motorcycle was downed in lanes.
California Highway Patrol first learned of a person laying in the right lanes of Northbound 605 at just before 5:15 a.m.
Orange County Fire Authority was called to the scene when a reporting person called regarding the person in the lanes.

"The 911 caller said they were not sure who initially hit the motorcycle rider," CHP said in their report. "They wanted to turn around and protect the body with their car."
A full traffic closure, including the closure of the Katella Road on-ramp to the northbound 605 freeway, was issued at 5:30 a.m.

Orange County Coroner arrived at the scene as of 7 a.m. No identification has been made as of this report.
As of 7:15 a.m. the HOV and #1 lanes reopened to traffic, however the 605 northbound was severely impacted.
