SteelCraft Garden Grove Celebrates Its Progress

GARDEN GROVE, CA —SteelCraft Garden Grove celebrated its official grand opening last week as North Orange County's new open-air, dining hot spot, which is gaining momentum and tenants.

Located at 12900 Euclid St. in Garden Grove, the 20,000-square-foot complex is made up of 22 repurposed shipping containers connected with a steel-truss, barn-like roof structure, intended to be "reminiscent of Garden Grove and Orange County’s rich agricultural roots," according to planners.

During a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Sept. 26, the project's founder Kim Gros announced that the popular Wilson Creek Winery out of Temecula Valley will joining the SteelCraft Garden Grove tenants.

Currently open for business at the urban eatery are:

• Beachwood Brewing: a Long Beach-originated craft brewery.
• Dark Horse Coffee Roasters: The San Diego-based firm's first location in Orange County, and known for its Guatemala pour over.
• Cauldron Ice Cream: Serving small batch made-to-order, liquid-nitrogen ice cream.
• Honey & Butter Macarons: Selling made-fresh macarons, with “creature cookies” crafted by owner Leanne, a Garden Grove High School alumna.
• The Nest: A Breakfast Joint: Among the offerings: chilaquiles or shrimp and grits.
• The Chick 'N Shack: Khao Man Gai: Serving Thai chicken and rice with house-made sauces.
• Barrio: Modern Filipino BBQ: With "elevated" skewers, calamansi slushie and kinilaw (Filipino ceviche).
• Renegade Taco: Fusion menu of Latin and Asian-style flavors, with vegan/vegetarian-friendly options.
• The Penalty Box: Burgers and gourmet hot dogs by Olympic Gold medalist and Hockey Hall of Famer Teemu Selanne.

Next to join the lineup will be Wilson Creek Winery, a family-owned business known for its almond champagne, frosé and variety of wines.
