Surf And Ski, The Best Of Both Worlds In Seal Beach: Patch Photos
Seal Beach photographer Tim Western shared a rare sight from the Seal Beach Pier Tuesday, showing Mt. Baldy all dressed for winter.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Knowing you can ski and surf on the same day is one of the biggest draws to life in Southern California. That was never more apparent than in this picture taken by Seal Beach resident and photographer Tim Western.
A recent storm brought pounding surf and pouring rain at the coast and left area mountains buried in snow. The pier in Seal Beach is the best place to capture it all, according to Western.
A manufacturing engineer by trade, photography has become his favorite hobby amid the coronavirus pandemic, he tells us. That hobby has become a side-hustle, as he set up an Etsy store to sell artistic renderingsof his favorite Southern California spots.
