This week’s list of fun things to do in the Bay Area includes 4 lively foodie events, as well as the Art and Wine Festival in Mountain View, which will take place this coming Saturday and Sunday (September 7 & 8) on Castro Street in downtown. An authentic and moveable feast for the senses, this year’s festival will feature 500 professional artists and craft makers.

While downtown, you can also swing by the award-winning Mountain View farmers’ market and pick up what you need for dinner. For the past 22 years, this market was voted Top 5 in the Nation by American Farmland Trusts’ Favorite Farmers’ Market Contest. This event is located adjacent to the Caltrain station and showcases over 80 farmers and food purveyors every Sunday from 9-1pm. As the third-largest market in the state, it offers an extensive selection of organic produce, baked goods, and fresh flowers.
