'Cinderella' Revisited To Enchant Los Altos Hills Audiences
Starting on July 18, the timeless classic story will play at the Smithwick Theatre with a new twist.

LOS ALTOS, CA — It's time to dust off those glass slippers for a new twist to a timeless classic.
Rodgers + Hammerstein’s "Cinderella," the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of "The Sound of Music" and "South Pacific," will play at the Smithwick Theatre in Los Altos Hills from July 18 to Aug. 4.
The production from the award-winning Foothill Music Theatre group features the legendary songwriting team Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II and features a hilarious, romantic new book by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane. The contemporary take on the classic tale brings out some of Rodgers and Hammerstein's most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible” and “Ten Minutes Ago.”

Director Milissa Carey, Music Director Daniel Feyer, and Choreographer Lee Ann Payne will stage this enchanted tale of love, reimagined for 21st century audiences in a breathtaking new production with a full orchestra. It includes all the magical moments such as the pumpkin carriage, the glass slipper and Ella’s astonishing transformation.
The Smithwick Theatre is situated at Interstate 280 and El Monte Road.
