DAR’s Los Altos Chapter Recognizes Local Artist

The Los Altos Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recognizes Holly Van Hart for the Women in the Arts Recognition Award

Los Altos, CA – The Los Altos Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recognized Holly Van Hart for the Women in the Arts Recognition Award.

The Women in the Arts Recognition Award honors women who have made significant achievements in her artistic field.

Holly Van Hart for the Women in the Arts Recognition Award for her contributions of nature-inspired, abstracted paintings in the local community as well as internationally.

She creates images of abstracted forests, trees, fields, and flowers are used to symbolize abundance and the generation of new life and new ideas.

Van Hart’s work has won many awards, including Grand Prize at the California Statewide Painting Competition, and Best of Houzz. Also, she was awarded a fellowship from the prestigious Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists.

Part of the proceeds from various sales of her nature paintings have been donated to Ice911, the Nature Conservancy and Keep A Breast Foundation.

Holly was truly honored with this award. She said, “I've long admired DAR, and feel so honored to be recognized with this award. Thank you!
