Discover the World - dream of a cruise, and eat Funky Chunky
I am fed up, I want to take a cruise to somewhere, and eat someone else's cooking

I live in a small town (30,000), Los Altos in Northern California, and it is sad to see lots of small businesses close and an Italian restaurant we have gone to for over fifty years go out of business. At Christmas I called a small shop, Presents, www.present.com and gave the owners, Jim Daley and Jim Reynolds the names of friends and how much to spend and asked them put together baskets for me taking care of my Christmas presents. Shipping was done. Main Street is three blocks long, and this great shop at 127 was popular with my staff at the Travel Agency. I turned my nose up when I learned most of the staff bought jars of Funky Chunky. I now go in regularly to buy a jar of Funky Chunky, peanut butter cup since my husband who is in a wheelchair, loves it. I was told the stuff is addictive, and it is. I am a caregiver, and fed up cooking, making beds and cleaning bathrooms.
I miss going to church, the library, my monthly meeting of the Travel Association, and the Garden Club. My husband went to Rotary each week, and to the American Legion. All we do is shop for groceries once a week, and see no one. I drive him around the block to have an outing. I need a lightweight wheelchair to push him in the park, the one I have weighs a ton and has given me a back problem. I dream of travel, read brochures, and eat Funky Chunky at night while watching the tele. We have square eyeballs after 12 months of nasty politics and sad virus news.
Regent Cruises is one of the best. They currently have cruises going for ten days September/October. I could go for ten weeks at the mood I am in. They have two for one all inclusive fares on select dates, up to $5000 bonus savings per couple, free shore excursions, free unlimited wine and liquor, free in suite mini bar replenished daily, free prepaid gratuities, free specialty restaurants, free unlimited wi-fi, free valet laundry service and shipboard credit, for other good stuff. I had a client who told me that his bar bill was usually higher than the cost of the cruise until I introduced him to Regent Cruises.

All I want to do is eat someone else’s cooking, not make a bed or clean a toilet. I want to take a walk on deck and look for a whale. I don’t care about shore excursions, I want a change from the tele and Funky Chunky.
I want to go home to England. I miss fish and chips, rain, and an Irish Bacon sandwich. I say a prayer every night that God can make travel safe again, soon…..before I get a whopping ulcer.
I deserve a Victoria Cross (British Medal of Honor) for my services and in the meantime, I will keep a stiff upper lip, listen to Abba, and eat Funky Chunky.
