Los Altos Farmers Markets Begin Thursday, Closing State Street
State Street will be closed between 2 to 9 p.m. Thursdays between Second and Fourth streets in downtown Los Altos, police said.

LOS ALTOS, CA — The smell and taste of summer is here.
The Los Altos Village Association’s downtown Farmers’ Market begins Thursday, closing off State Street to motorists between 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. so the vendors may set up, sell their wares and produce, then shut down.
“No Parking” signs have been posted.

Motorists are advised to heed signs to avoid a citation or a tow. The Farmers’ Market will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday from May through September, so pedestrians are expected to be as plentiful as fresh produce.
The weekly market is located on State Street between Second and Fourth streets.
