Los Altos Halloween Sex-Offender Safety Map 2017

Check the map to make sure your kids are trick-or-treating in safe neighborhoods.

LOS ALTOS, CA – As kids anticipate Halloween, costumes and trick-or-treating, it's important to ensure they're safe and secure on the night of spooky thrills. Checking to see how safe are your Los Altos neighborhoods is one way to start.

The California Department of Justice has a Megan's Law web site, which provides information on registered sex offenders pursuant to California Penal Code § 290.46, so that the public can better protect themselves and their families.

According to the website, there are seven registered sex offenders in Los Altos, one of whom is currently in violation. Two of the seven do not have current addresses, including one listed as a transient.
